Hunter Branch Rail Trail (2 min)
Easy, scenic, and historical. This flat, peaceful path follows an old railroad line—perfect for a sunset stroll or morning walk with your pup.

Windham Path (20 min)
Mostly flat and meandering along the Batavia Kill. Ideal for running, walking, or a gentle nature fix with big-sky views of Windham Mountain.

Kaaterskill Falls (18 min)
The most iconic waterfall in the Catskills. Park at Laurel House Road for easy access to the upper viewing platform and a satisfying hike to the bottom.

Sunset Rock (15 min)
A can't-miss Catskills classic. Start from the Catskill Mountain House site and enjoy multiple overlooks on your way to one of the best views around. Moderate, ~2 hours round trip.

Black Dome (22 min)

Hunter Mountain Fire Tower

  • (16 min) via Becker Hollow: 2.35-mile steep ascent to breathtaking views.
  • (30 min) via Spruceton Trail: 7 miles round trip with the bonus of nearby West Kill Brewing for a post-hike beer.

Mountain Brook Horseback Riding (15 min)
Gentle trail rides with Catskill views. Ideal for beginners and families.
